PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday prohibited the sale and serving of non-vegetarian food along the Ayodhya Dham and Panchkosi Parikrama routes. The move, according to officials, aims to preserve the religious and cultural sanctity of the pilgrim belt, especially as footfall continues to rise.
The ban will apply not only to physical shops, hotels and restaurants, but also to online delivery services. Food delivery platforms have been informed that non-vegetarian items cannot be delivered within the designated stretch.
Authorities said that guesthouses, lodges and homestays will also fall under the restriction. The administration has announced continuous monitoring to ensure compliance and prevent any violation of the order.
